"Expert Panel" means a panel of professionals, acting as volunteers, who are available to answer questions from time to time in accordance with these terms and conditions.
“Moderator” means either a volunteer or a recognised, paid employee who is involved in the Project who is responsible for monitoring the content of the website, responding to enquiries and ensuring that users comply with site rules.
“Project” means a national project created and run by a dedicated group of personnel, the focus of which is to provide, partly through the Website, support for young people dealing with self-harm, as well as information and training to parents, advisors and others who come into contact with young people affected by self-harm issues.
"Site Rules" means the rules posted on the Website that explain what you are and are not allowed to do while using the website.
“Terms and Conditions” means these terms and conditions as amended from time to time in accordance with clause 2.3.
“us” or “we” means the organisation that has set up the Project and operates the Website.

“you” means the young people, parents, professionals and others who use this Website.
2.1 You may browse most areas of the Website without registering your details with us. However, you are required to register your details if you wish to post material on the website, or comment on existing posts.

5.1 While we try very hard to make sure that the Website is available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. Access to the Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.
6. ROLE OF THE MODERATORS
6.1 We have provided training to our Moderators so that they can give you support on issues related to self-harm.
6.2 We recognise that many users of the Website are under the age of 18. We have therefore provided our Moderators with safeguarding training which is specifically aimed at minimising risks to the welfare of children. For further information on safeguarding, please refer to the safeguarding statement on our website.
6.3 You understand and accept that our Moderators:
(a) are not qualified and do not hold themselves out to be qualified to professional advice and
(b) cannot recommend or advise you on taking any specific course of action.
6.4 You may communicate with a Moderator via e-mail or telephone for the purposes of making an enquiry with regard to the services we provide or to make a complaint.
6.5 We will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage you may suffer as a direct or indirect result of any communications which occur outside of this Website.
7. EXPERT PANEL
7.1 From time to time the Expert Panel will be available to answer questions. However, there is no guarantee the Expert Panel will answer every question.
7.2 The Expert Panel will select questions from those posted on the Question Forum.
7.3 By submitting a question to the Question Forum you understand that it is at the Expert Panels absolute discretion as to whether they respond to your question.
7.4 By submitting a question to the Website you understand that any response received from the Expert Panel should be considered in line with advice which is received from your GP or other healthcare provider. Responses from the Expert Panel do not replace advice received from your GP or other healthcare provider.
8. VISITOR MATERIAL AND CONDUCT
8.2 We accept no responsibility for the content of material transmitted or posted to the Website. Further, by transmitting or posting material you agree to indemnify us for any loss or liability that may arise in relation to such material.
8.3 The material posted on the Website will be monitored by us and we reserve the right to modify the content of or remove such material from the Website.
8.4 To the extent that we require, we may seek to obtain consent from visitors to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use or transmit posted material and all data, images, sounds, text and everything else the material contains for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.
